Job Title

Position Overview

The Program Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring the success of the product development and deployment so that DataMica Technologies can manufacture and deliver high-value, cost-competitive battery protection systems. They will achieve this by working with all departments across the value stream to ensure that DataMica Technologies Corporate Values, customer, and market needs are integrated successfully throughout the program. The role will be responsible for profitable execution of development activities, pilot operations, transition to serial production, issue resolution, and fulfillment of the product or product family to ensure the financial and operational success of DataMica Technologies and our customers.

 

The Program Manager additionally will assist and possibly lead the development of new processes which will drive operational excellence within DataMica Technologies. The role will have a large amount of influence in shaping the company and contributing to its growth and success.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Has the overall responsibility to meet the customer program milestones on time by adhering to the deliverables outlined within the product development process.
  • Is accountable for the execution of the program deliverables
  • Works across our own engineering teams to ensure alignment of engineering schedules and activities
  • Fosters regular review meetings to ensure team and schedule alignment throughout development and product launch
  • Creates and manages program P&L budgets, including invoice management.
  • Assists internal and external manufacturing teams in leading the efforts to transition from prototyping to mass production
  • Supports supplier engagement with Supply Chain Management when needed to ensure smooth interface between customer needs, program impacts, and business goals
  • Collaborates with local and global teams in a variety of functional areas such as engineering, quality, sales, logistics, purchasing, and testing
  • Assists factory team to research and resolve customer problems
  • Facilitates communication between management team and customers
  • Fosters positive relationships with customers and serve as their primary point of contact within DataMica Technologies
  • Resolves customer issues with speed and efficiency
  • Gains deep knowledge of customer and product segment to inform strategic approach
  • Is accountable for funneling external information from client or market to internal teams to inform necessary changes to products
  • Performs rigorous contract management to ensure terms and conditions are met by both the customer and DataMica Technologies
  • Travel may be required (<10%)

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or can demonstrate exceptional talent, experience, and results in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or consumer products industry
  • Minimum 1 year project/program management experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or consumer products industry
  • 3+ years project/program management experience
  • Leadership experience in industry

Position Overview

The Director of Sales is responsible for driving profitable revenue and market share growth for DataMica technologies in the United States in the following markets: EV busbar,EV battery thermal runaway protection,special cable markets. This position will provide sales leadership to a team of Regional Sales Managers as well as DataMica Technologies R&D Center to build and maintain a strong customer focus and collaborative team.

 

As the company’s executive sales leader, the Director of Sales is accountable for overall sales performance, the profitable achievement of sales goals, and for aligning sales objectives with the company’s strategy by understanding the market dynamics and competition and leading/facilitating the development of market specific strategies with robust tactical implementation plans. The Director of Sales will establish sales targets, monitor attainment, coach for performance and proactively address issues. This position is expected to be “hands on” in the field with his/her team members actively coaching for high performance, developing customer relationships, and personally managing relationships for key accounts

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quarterly and annual strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve company objectives for products and services
  • Evaluate sales channels and implement changes according to business needs
  • Recruit, develop, manage, and motivate a high-performing team
  • Ensure weekly implementation of project tracking/forecasting via the CRM system
  • Foster effective relationships among colleagues across business units and functions, optimizing profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Create and maintain a collaborative, performance-based culture, consistent with the company’s commitment and focused on achieving profitable revenue growth
  • Interact effectively with customers, clearly articulating the the company’s value proposition and providing solutions to meet customer needs
  • Coach team members on appropriate sales process, tactics, pricing, deal structures, use of CRM, customer and financial data
  • Perform regular field travel to coach team members and understand customer needs and dynamics of the market
  • Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
  • Actively participate in the monthly operational planning processes, business reviews, and provide accurate forecasts to review/adjust against P&L goals
  • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products
  • Meet with key clients, assisting sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
  • Act as a liaison between the sales department and other departments
  • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements
  • Align resources and efforts with our HQ in Shanghai as well as our other sister companies around the globe
  • Participate in international sales meetings as needed
  • Able to travel 40-60% – both international and domestic

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in either Mechanical, Process, Material Science/Processing, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
  • 10+ years of direct (outside and inside) sales experience
  • 5+ years of experience in material handling and complete turnkey systems
  • 5+ years of experience managing a B2B sales team
  • Proven sales management experience and has taken a company from its current sales level to the next sales level
  • Expertise in capital and rental product sales process from initial planning for potential opportunity to structuring and closing sales deals
  • Able to motivate and energize her/his team through example and leadership
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Able to contribute to the development of a marketing plan and to the Managing Director’s vision
  • Able to work collaboratively with the Managing Director to leverage the network, markets and prospects that have already been developed
  • Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Able to convincingly present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Able to communicate effectively with cross functional-teams within the organization as well as able to communicate effectively with customers at all levels of the organization
  • Able to work within an international business culture
  • Strong business acumen – strong knowledge of business financials

  • Experience managing manufacturers’ representatives and distributors is highly desired

Job Responsibilities

· Identify the new business opportunities from the prospect/existing customers and develop the action plans

· Provide program management support for the Regional Sales Manager

· Develop relationships and collaborates internally with product management, customer service, R&D teams and oversea factories to promote increased revenue and customer value

· Develop the strong relationships with the customer’s R&D and purchasing including their senior level executives

· Create strategic and tactical plans to achieve 15%+ YOY business growth

· Develops and implements business action plans to ensure achievement of sales growth

· Prepares special reports as required to support management

 

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or any business/industrial related

· Previous manufacturing sales experience, 1-3 years

· Proven extensive knowledge of Sales Force, Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

· Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies, critical thinking

· Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally

· Advanced negotiation and consultative skills
